Hello all!

Well I’m now out of hospital. I had the operation and it was only half successful. They operated on my left hip and removed the mass of tissue etc and the surgeon is pleased with that one. Unfortunately the right hip that they were going to manipulate in was unsuccessful. Apparently there was too much risk of the hip dying so they made the decision to leave it.

I now have to go back on 4th November to have that hip operated on. This means that if all goes well, my cast will be removed 6 weeks later which is just before Christmas!!!

Mummy says she will post a photo of me in my trendy dayglow, flourescent pink cast over the weekend for you all. I’m wedged in a beanbag most of the time because I can’t sit up. I’m not allowed to crawl around either which has really annoyed me.

Mummy and Daddy seem so much happier now that we’re all home. I keep making an extra special effort to giggle and smile for them and it seems to have done the trick.

I heard Mummy saying on the phone that she is really proud of me. I didn’t cry much at all and apparently the nurses were impressed at the little pain relief that I’ve needed. I wowed everyone there by smiling all the time and managed to get plenty of attention.

They gave me some medicine before my operation to take away my grumpiness. (Well what did they expect after starving me!). It made me drunk and Daddy said that I was in fits of giggles when they were going to put me to sleep for the op. He said I giggled so much and even put my own mask on! They have a photo of me looking all drunk. No doubt mummy will put it on my blog.

Well I must go now. Take care all and thank you for all your lovely emails and kind thoughts.
