Paintings and frames, but now moving on to create other miniatures, at the moment I am casting in white metal.
When did you first get interested in collecting/creating miniatures and why?

About 9 or 10 years ago I was asked to paint a picture for a friend's dolls house and it took off from there.

I have a workshop which I built within my garage, nice and cosy and filled with tools for miniatures.

What is the oddest thing you have created/collected?

A nude painting for a miniature brothel.

Who inspires you?

To be honest, no one person, I get inspiration from a lot of miniaturists when I see the quality of their work.

When your mind is blank…what inspires you?

My mind is never blank.

PaintingDo you do commissions and if so, what sort of things do you get requested to make?

Yes, I have been commissioned to make the sign for 'Lovejoy', also created the furniture for a roombox based on a painting, but mainly my commissions are for paintings.

What’s your “other” job or is it miniatures all the way?

I work on the flooring department of B&Q.

If you hadn’t started miniatures what would you have liked to have done instead?

I would have continued with my large paintings.

What does your family think of your obsession?

They find it very interesting.

Do you plan each creation or do you run with your imagination?

I always let my imagination run away, I cannot work to plans.

Do you do fairs?Miniatura2

Yes.

If you could change anything about the miniature profession what would it be?

I can't honestly think of anything I would want to change.

If you could create one particular miniature, what would it be?

A roombox based on the House of Lords.

Is there a miniature task/project that you’ve been putting off or procrastinating about for a long time?

Yes, a haunted house.

PaintingWhat is your ultimate goal?

To be creating and selling miniatures for the rest of my life.

Describe yourself in 3 words...

Honest, creative, friendly.
