The Great American Dollhouse Museum
is located in Danville, Kentucky. The museum is described as 'a
study in social history,' and true to this it indeed gives a wide
collection of artifacts in social history. The museum is housed in
a magnificent renovated 1939 building. Nevertheless, it is not just
the detailed building and furniture that make the museum standout,
but the collection is also of particular interest to visitors. The
museum houses an intricately crafted miniature collection of the
American villages in the 1900s. By looking at the collection, a
viewer is immediately immersed into the 1900s period...
The Mott's Miniatures Museum began as
a collection of work by The Mott Family in Des Moines, Iowa in
1911. Allegra Mott (then Allegra Mitchell) was just 8 years old
when she purchased her first box and fell in love with her...
