Unlike other sites, we want to keep icklebits subscription free but this means we still need to meet our running costs each tax year. The chart below shows how we're doing to reach that target by April 2012...

I never thought that anyone would appreciate the work put into it and donate, so it means a lot to me that you have helped with the running costs.

Any donation would be gratefully received. If only 200 people from around the world donated £1 it would cover my hosting fees. I don't factor in the hours of work because I do this purely out of enjoyment.

I really want to keep the website free which is why I dithered so much about putting that donation box on there because I didn't want it to be seen as begging? It's just if i didn't make any money through google clicks or donations then next tax year I would have to start charging for access, galleries etc and I sooooooo do not want to do that. 

I've also dithered about publishing this article. I just hope that nobody is offended by it. I apologise if you are.

During the last tax year (we'd only been asking for 6 months) we raised £72. This was just enough to cover 6 months costs so we can guarantee to stay free for a further 6 months!
